At Bisou Bar we are committed to responsible sourcing of all raw materials used in the production of Bisou products. We are dedicated to discovering ethical and innovative approaches to introducing new, sustainable materials within our ranges. All of our whole leaf teas are blended and packed locally in organic and kosher certified facilities, ensuring incredibly high level of quality control, using only natural ingredients. At Bisou Bar our ultimate goal is to become more sustainable all-round and keep you updated on the improvements and choices we make.

Compostable & Plant-Based Material

We are proud to offer you retail tea bag boxes made using recycled material. Pouches are oxo-degradable made with renewable wood pulp starch. Our pyramid tea bags are 100% compostable, plastic-free and made from non-GMO sugar cane. Soilon® is woven fabric made from 100% PLA material. Tea bags made with Soilon® are see-through and have good extractability. Bisou Bar is committed to working with more recycled, recyclable and biodegradable packaging materials. The newest addition to our sustainability commitment is switching to shipment box filling material made of 100% natural, biodegradable starch that dissolves immediately on contact with water. Packing smarter at Bisou Bar means using exclusively recycled packing materials and reusing carton boxes whenever possible. It is a gradual process and every step forward counts as we encourage the industry to move towards responsible sourcing and consumers - toward sustainable consumption choices.

The Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) is a not-for-profit organisation which convenes tea companies, to improve the lives of communities within the tea sector by creating a fairer, more sustainable tea industry for tea workers, farmers and their families as well as the environment.
