Roasted Hojicha (100 G)
Roasted Japanese Green tea from Shizuoka, northwest territory. Low in caffeine. Nutty and rich in flavour.
For many of us, green tea is associated with the green color of the tea leaf, a yellowish-green infusion. But the Japanese broke that stereotype when they first steeped Hojicha. Hojicha leaves have a reddish-brown color, and the infusion obtained from them has a caramel shade. These are not exactly the usual characteristics for green tea, isn't?
Roasted Green tea.
Amount: 2.5g / 2 tsp or One tea bag
Temperature: 80°C / 176°F
Steeping Time: 3 minutes
